By: Scorpion ISBN: 9781929948000 (120p.) (1999) Format: Softcover Buy this from: amazon.com Diabolik and Eva Kant book cabins aboard the South Seas cruise ship Karima. The Plan is to switch carefully researched and crafted fake jewelry they're carrying, for the originals that rich fellow passengers will be keeping in their cabin safes. One of the passengers is Sheik Adjin, with his veiled wife and hooded bodyguards. Another couple, Rodolfo and Renata Norman, are from Clerville, which Eva and Diabolik also call home. The ship is boarded by pirates, who steal everybody's jewels (including the fakes) and blow up the ship, expecting everyone to be killed. Quick thinking by Diabolik saves everyone. In two days Inspector Ginko is on the job, hoping to catch both the pirates and Diabolik. Eva figures out that the Normans were accomplices of the pirates, and Eva and Diabolik use this knowledge to steal the jewels from Yang, the head pirate. Ginko figures out which passengers they've been using as disguises, but they get past him using the veil and hood of Sheik Adjin's wife and bodyguard. |
